Wednesday, March 27, 2019

Upkar Association Kuwait, one of the prominent Association of Indians formed in Kuwait, organized Holi celebrations on Mach 22nd 2019, for its members and their guests.

Holi is perhaps known as the Festival of Colors where people greet each other with gulaal (color) and sweets. It is the celebration of the coming of Spring.

The celebrations were organized in a private camp in the desert. All the members and guests greeted each other with gulaal and popular Holi songs were played throughout the celebrations, making it very enjoyable. It was as though we were celebrating Holi in India!

The members and guests were then treated to Holi delicacies like gujiyas, thandai and chaat. They then enjoyed other snacks and lunch, before ending with some games. It was wonderful to enjoy with so many people from different parts of India, yet together for the colorful festival! It felt truly festive!
