Thursday, March 7, 2019

Salmiya Indian Model School organized an Orientation Program on 2nd of March 2019, for the new batch of class X and XII .

It is said that a parent is a child’s first teacher and a teacher is a child’s second parent. At SIMS it is believed that when families are involved in the education of their children in positive ways, the children maximize their untapped potential and demonstrate positive attitude and behaviour. In the wake of this belief the Orientation Program was set up.

SIMS Principal Ms. Anita Sadanand addressed the gathering and in her speech she stressed on the need for effective communication between the teachers and the parents. Through a PowerPoint Presentation she made it very clear that Self Motivation is the Key to Success .Without interest in gaining knowledge there is very little chance of success. She briefed the audience with the vision and philosophy of the school. CBSE guidelines regarding the two levels of Mathematics for grade X- BASIC MATHEMATICS AND STANDARD MAHEMATICS were discussed in detail. The students and parents were then introduced to the Class Teachers and the Subject Teachers. This was followed by an interactive session where parents cleared all their doubts regarding CBSE norms and new orders.

The Orientation Program was a success with a good number of parents taking part as an indication of their commitment towards their children’s education.
