The trailer of the upcoming Malayalam movie ‘Manalbhoomi’ that narrates the tale of a complex tragedy, was released at a glittering ceremony in Kuwait. Target Chairman P.S. Krishnan released the trailer in the presence of a host of dignitaries that comprised media persons, guests, actors and the crew of the film. Hamsa Payyanur inaugurated the function that was held at Poppins Hall, Abbasiya.

Produced under the banner of Screen Lovers and written and directed by Kalashri Ashraf Kalathode, the story of ‘Manalbhoomi’ forays beyond the clichéd fringes of the goat life or the lives on board dhows, and delineates the expat life against the backdrop of an emerging new world. As the story unravels, the mystery deepens when the protagonist discovers the dark treachery and the ruthless ambition of his business rival. Amidst the heart-wrenching accounts of suffering mothers, the plot thickens; moving out of the embattled fringes of apartment buildings and voyaging into the desert land of dreams and despairs.

With a predominantly female-oriented storyline, Manalbhoomi showcases renowned Malayalam actress Sajitha Madathil in the lead role. Other key female characters are played by Treesa Wilson and Manju Mathew. Kalashri Babu Chakola plays the role of the protagonist while Sajeev K Peter, Kumar Thrithala and Jazah appear in other important roles. Kalathode himself has written the dialogues of the film and penned the lines for the six songs he himself composed.

Well-known singers Kannur Sharif, Rijiya, Anil Mala, Uday Ramachandran and Priya Menon rendered the songs while Riyaz Payyoli, Sherdin Thomas and Anil Mala conducted the orchestration.

Acclaimed singer Thajudeen Vadakara released an audio of a song rendered by Uday Ramachandran and Rijiya Riyas on the occasion.

Others who attended the ceremony included Sindhu Ramesh, Tom Jacob, Sam Painamood, Shiny Frank, Rafi Kallai, Dhanya Sheby and Sherin Mathew. Bharathiya Vidyabhavan Suresh Balakrishnan and Salam Kalanad delivered felicitation speeches. Associate Director Christopher Das welcomed the gathering and Wilson Chirayath proposed a vote of thanks. Taif Ahmad and Bhavitha Bright anchored the show.
