SIMS Celebrates Kuwait National and Liberation Day

SIMS was founded with the motto ‘Dare To Dream’ and as it moves ahead on its journey of exploring with the young minds, its becomes a flag bearer of Indo-Kuwait friendship. Celebrating Kuwait’s National and Liberation day with exuberance and fervour enhances the warm and friendly relationship between the two countries.





SIMS celebrated Kuwait’s National and Liberation Day on 21st of February 2019 in a series of special assemblies organised for different classes. The school campus was decorated with colourful balloons and Kuwait flags well in advance to mark the coming of the day of celebration. The children came in colourful dresses related to the Kuwaiti flag and other patriotic emblems showing their love and respect for Kuwait. The special assembly was ushered in by the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Kuwait’s National Anthem. Then followed on the stage a slew of cultural shows mesmerising the audience completely. Children dressed in traditional Kuwaiti attires and dancing on foot tapping Arabic numbers filled every heart with happiness and rejoice. Apart from being entertaining , some programmes were very informative , enlightening the audience about Kuwait’s economy, tradition, Culture and infrastructure.





SIMS Principal Ms Anita Sadanand welcomed The Chief Guest of the event eminent Japanese Sociology Professor Ms. Koyoko Matsukava from Faculty of Letters, Okamoto, Japan along with SIMS Sponsor representative Mr. Ibrahim Dashti on the stage to honour the children who had won prizes in the various inter school competitions. The event also marked the release of the hardcopy of the SIMS Newsletter ‘SIMS VOICE’. The Newsletter will be a window to the activities of the school providing a platform for the creative talent in students. It will provide an opportunity for the students to voice their views and expressions. SIMS VOICE is a quarterly Newsletter and will be uploaded on the SIMS Web Portal ‘ORISON’ every three months.







Kudos to the SIMS teachers and their talented students who could prepare such an amazing medley of programmes instilling in every heart the love and respect for the country they live in.
