Nair Service Society celebrated Mannam Jayanthi

Nair Service Society (NSS), Kuwait celebrated Mannam Jayanthi for the 18th consecutive year on 25th January 2019 (Friday), at Nottingham British School, Abbassiya. The celebration was to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of Bharath Kesari Mannathu Padmanabhan, a social reformer, freedom fighter and founder of the Nair Service Society.





Famous Vedic scholar and great orator from Kerala Acharyasri Rajesh, chief guest of the event, inaugurated the function. The inaugural speech by Acharyasri Rajesh kept the audience captivated with his profound knowledge in Vedas coupled with his great oratory skills. The meeting was presided over by Sri. Prasad Padmanabhan, President of Nair Service Society Kuwait. Mrs. Deepthi, Vanitha Samajam Convener; Sri. Sunil Menon, Patron and Sri Jignesh, Janam TV delivered felicitation speeches. Various other prominent Indians, media representatives and other Association office bearers attended the function.





The celebrations went on with cultural extravaganza by musical fusion concerts by Sri. Rajesh Cherthalla and six other artists. The program commenced with prayer songs, thalapoli & dances by NSS Vanitha Samanjam and Balasamajam members. The event started sharp 5 p.m and ended by 10.30 p.m.





A souvenir was released on the occasion by delivering the first copy by Acharyasri Rajesh to Green Spring Co Finance Manager Sri Guna Prasad Nair. In the annual award ceremony, Mannam Jayanthi Gold Medals and Mannam Puruskarams for outstanding academic performances for students of Class XII and X were also presented by Acharyasri Rajesh. NSS event major sponsors Precon Engineering GTC Company representative Ms. Sreeja Pradeepkumar and Unimoni Compliance & Risk Head Sri Vinayan Mangalasseri were also honored during the function.





The function was well coordinated by NSS program team members headed by Sri Radhakrishnan Nair, Sri Anieesh Nair and Sri Jayakumar. Sri Sajith C Nair, General Secretary, delivered the welcome speech and Shri. Harikumar, Treasurer, rendered the vote of thanks.
