Three expats caught for uprooting plants to feed livestock

Three citizens and three Asian expats were caught by environment police for uprooting Haloxylon plants. They were referred to the Environment Public Authority (EPA) for further action, reports Al Rai daily. A fine will imposed on them that may reach up to KD 250 per person, daily added.

This came after the Environment Police General Department conducted inspection of public areas in the past few days to monitor environmental irregularities.

The environment police caught the three citizens uprooting plants and trees in different areas with the help of three Asian workers to use the plants for feeding sheep, bonfire in camping sites or to sell them.
