Heavy rains hit Kuwait; Schools and Government departments closed for bad weather

Heavy rains hit Kuwait yesterday night and early morning today caused flooding in several main roads across the country. Several roads across the country are affected with the rain and traffic are blocked in many roads.

The Ministry of Interior appeals to citizens and residents to be cautious on the road due to the bad weather conditions prevailing in the country. The Interior Ministry appealed to the drivers not to stop abruptly on the roads to avoid endangering the lives and lives of their users and the need to leave sufficient distance between vehicles. Citizens and residents are advised to contact the emergency telephone number (112) for any humanitarian assistance.

Most of the Indian schools across the Kuwait including Bhavans Kuwait, Learners Own Academy, and Smart Indian School, Kuwait announced Holiday for the school due to the bad weather. Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior tweeted that the all ministries and government departments will be closed on Tuesday 6-11-2018 due to bad weather conditions.





Veteran astronomer Dr Saleh Al-Ojairi announced that rain will continue through November until January 2019, adding that this week’s thunderstorms are expected to continue through tomorrow. Meteorologist Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi said meanwhile that weather throughout Kuwait is forecast to remain unsteady with active dust-triggering winds along with thundershowers.
