Center for India Studies celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi

Center For India Studies organized a general discussion forum “Kerala Aftermath Flood –Shining Lights of Service” to mark the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi . The discussion was held on Tuesday, October 2nd 7 pm, at Metro Hospital Hall, Farwaniya.

Prominent personalities from different cultural forums in Kuwait participated at the session which was presided by Mr. Sathyanand and moderated by Dr Roopesh.

Indian Doctors Forum Kuwait President Dr Surendra Nayak, Amma Kuwait Secretary Haridas Warrier, S M C A. President Rijoy Varghese Kelapparambil, Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter Coordinator Biju Kambazha ,Seva Darshan Secretary CK Radhakrishnan Venmani,Kannur Association President President K Omanakuttan, Saradhi Kuwait President Sugunan Kochuveettil, 98.4 U FM Fus Group Member KK Das, Metro Medical chairman Hamsa Payyanur participated in the meeting.

Session had detail discussion on how NRI’s engaged service in the wake and after the tragedy struck and continuing activity in Kerala on a grand scale with the same willingness and mindset in different parts of the state.

The forum hailed the selfless service of Kerala's own fishermen community , tipper drivers ,supreme sacrifice of 15 resuce personals, Praiseworthy Service of the Armed Forces including Navy and Airforce, service rented by various NGO’s as the best lessons of the service that can be provided to the society.The discussions focused on the proper use of the social media and the ability to coordinate the rescue work making the easiest way to meet the requirements of the needy people.

The discussion reminded us that service is a major contribution involving all aspects of social awareness, and that everyone can do nothing but everyone can do something.

The Conference unanimously stated that ultimate goal should be the unselfish mindset of the people of Kerala and the unbiased nature of this kind in bringing out efforts to rebuild Kerala in the future.
