Kharafi workers to receive compensation from Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs & Labour

Around 710 Indian workers from Kharafi National company who left Kuwait and return back to India during the period from 1st Nov 2017 to 22nd April 2018 are found eligible by Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) to receive an amount of 250 KD (each) from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs & Labour.

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait today published the list of 710 Indian workers who are eligible to get this compensation from Ministry of Social Affairs & Labour on the Embassy web site www.indembkwt.gov.in

According to Indian Embassy, those 710 workers are requested to courier the duly filled and attested Power of Attorney to Embassy of India, Kuwait for processing this amount. The details of which are also updated on the Embassy website. Indians are required to fill only the English part, embassy informed.

The compensation, which is declared now are eligible to those who worked under the sponsorship of Kharafi National Company and those who registered complaints with PAM, with subsequent cancellation of their work permits and left Kuwait during the period from 1st Nov 2017 to 22nd April 2018.

Those who failed to register their claims with PAM before leaving Kuwait can send their details to Embassy of India, Kuwait through email ([email protected]) mentioning their Name, Civil ID number, Project number and Date of leaving Kuwait, embassy informed IndiansinKuwait.com

Indian Embassy in Kuwait was constantly following up the issue of distressed Indian workers in Kharafi Company with relevant government agencies. Earlier the Embassy provided free air ticket to those who left Kuwait to travel to India. Indian Embassy also gave conveyance allowance to these workers to reach their home from their nearest airport.
