Pragathi -2018 World Environment Day Celebrated.

Center For India Studies ,the Premier think tank among NRI communities in Kuwait , organized an event Pragathi-2018 commemorating the United Nations World Environment Day. Seminar, Painting Exhibhition, Poetry recitation, distribution of indoor plants added vibrant colours to Environment Day celebrations.

Vibheesh Thikkodi , noted Indian Writer /Poet and Social worker in Kuwait delivered the keynote address on the topic “Environment Protection an Indian Perspective “ at the Seminar held in Orma Plaza Auditorium Abbassiya presided over Mahadevan Aiyar CIS-President

Sreejith A Nair -CIS General Secretary welcomed the gathering . Gowri Shankar-Sap IS Specialist addressed the gathering on household recycling techniques. Roji Mathew-Vice President Pala St.Thomas Alumini Association Kuwait stressed the need of nature conservation followed by Leena Teacher of Bhavans Kuwait on reducing Plastic use in daily life.

Distribution of Indoor Plants was inaugurated by Mahendra Pratapan –CIS Vice-President by giving sapling to Jiju Jacob –President Indian Nurses Federation of Kuwait.

Eminent Artists Sasi Krishna , Sunil Pookode,Nikesh who spearheaded the Environment Painting Exhibition held at the venue were honoured on Stage .Over 50 Young Kids Participated in the Painting Exhibition that added a visual fiesta to the event.

Audience had a mesmerizing effect when Sasi Krishna, Suresh Muthukulam, Divya Satheesh, Sarath Gayathri Vimal,Aathira and Akhil recited Poems .

Indoor plants were distributed to all nature enthusiasts who were part of the Environment day Celebrations. Pragathi-2018 had an incredible effect on community as a whole anchored by Gayathri Vimal with vote of Thanks by Suresh Nair –CIS Treasurer.
