Highest Electricity consumption recorded on Thursday as temperature soars

Electricity consumption on Thursday recorded a big number compared to the load rates during the past days as the temperatures reaches about 48 degrees Celsius.

The indicator of electricity loads at 2:30 pm on Thursday reached about 13,600MW, a difference of about 200MW from the highest load registered last year, which had reached about 13,800MW.

The total production is about 16,000 MW.

The increase in electricity load is attributed to high temperatures currently in the country which have in turn contributed to the significant increase in demand for electricity and water.
