MACE Alumni Association Kuwait Chapter elects New Office Bearers for 2018- ‘19.

The new team of Office Bearers of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering Alumni Association (MACEAA) Kuwait Chapter was elected unanimously for the period 2018-‘19, in the Annual General Body meeting held at Seashell Julai’a Hotel & Resorts Kuwait on Friday, 11th May 2018.

The newly elected committee members are: -

Chairman: Mr. Shaji Hassan

General Secretary: Mr. Prince U. Cheria

Treasurer: Mr. Saju P.K.

KEF GC Designate – Mr. Abdul Sageer

KEF Arts Committee Convener – Mr. Sudheer M.G.

Arts Secretaries: Mr. Jacob Zachariah & Ms. Anu Deline

Sports Secretaries: Mr. Joice Peter & Mr. Akash G. Ramanan

Area Representatives: Mangaf – Mr. Joseph George, Mahboula- Mr. Nibu Vijayan, Abu Halifa – Mr. Jose George, Abbassiya – Mr. Maneesh M. Nair, Riggae & Farwaniya – Mr. Manoj Joseph, Salmiya – Ms. Bindu Finney & Dr. Jose Kaitharam,

Auditor – Ms. Sally Roy

Ladies Forum Members: Ms. Shabnam Sageer (President), Ms. Donia Georgy (Secretary) & Ms. Haripriya Suresh (Treasurer).

The election proceedings were controlled by Mr. P.C. George & Mr. Salu John.

The Annual General Body Meeting was remarkable by the huge number and active participation of all the members, as the association steps into its 35th year as a leading Keralite Engineers Alumni Association in Kuwait. The Chairman Mr. Jyothidas P.N. presided over the general body meeting, Mr. Jibi Joseph (General Secretary) presented annual report and Mr. Sandeep Damodaran (Treasurer) presented financial report for the year 2017- ‘18.

In the function, a warm farewell was given to Mr. Sasi Kodanad as he is leaving Kuwait for good after his long 40 years of service in Kuwait. A skit portraying the life of Mr. Sasi Kodanand was performed by MACEAA Kuwait Chapter to honor him and his wife Ms. Shyla Sasi on the occasion.

The AGM and the inception of the new committee members were followed with various cultural and fun filled activities like solo & group songs, dances, instrument music performances, skit, barbeque, beach swimming etc. The event was started by 09:30am and concluded by 09:30pm.
