Thursday, May 3, 2018

Children use colours to observe and organize the world around them. That is why the use of colours are very important during the developmental stages of a child’s life. Colour week is celebrated for the children to recognize and relate the colours with objects around them.

As an annual customary celebration, the kindergarten at Bhavans IES and Jack and Jill, celebrated the colour week, beginning from the 22nd of April until the 26th; rolling with the Red Colour Day followed by Yellow, Blue, Green and Rainbow day. The children came dressed in the respective colour. An activity related to the topic was done in the class. The bulletin board was decorated with pictures of the specific colour and class photographs were clicked with the decorated bulletin board being the backdrop. All the more, the colourful days filled rainbow of joy in the innocent minds of the newly ‘de-cocooned’ butterflies of Bhavans Family.
