Southern Iran quake felt in Kuwait

The Kuwait National Seismic Network said Thursday that the country was slightly affected by the M-5.9 tremor that hit southern Iran earlier today.

The aftershock of the quake was felt at 09:45 local time in Fintas, Manqaf and Mishref areas, said Dr. Abdullah Al-Enizi, crises management director at the Network, in a press release.

The quake struck 10 km from Kaki, Bushehr Province, southern Iran, according to local authorities.

It occurred at 9:34 local time, with no casualties or injuries reported so far.
