Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Satrarambh literally means beginning of the year where 'Satra' means year and 'Aarambh' means beginning. It is the significant day that marks the beginning of the new academic year. A series of assemblies were planned and conducted by the students of ICSK junior to welcome the New Year in a grand manner.

The auspicious venture began with prayers of different religions recited by the students. Lighting the lamp livens up any special occasion. The ceremonial lamp was lit to pay tribute to the goddess of knowledge, Ma Saraswati.

Melodious songs 'Ishwar humko do wardaan..' , 'Aye maalik tere bande hum...' and ' God will make our way...' were rendered in chorus to call upon the Almighty to shower his blessings and bestow knowledge to all the children. In order to make learning a powerful experience, some simple advices were imparted in the form of a street play and a Welcome dance.

Vibrant energetic dance on the song ‘Mangalam’ that enthralled the pupils was a reminder that along with learning it is important to enjoy school life too.

Mrs Sherly Dennis, Principal ICSK Junior in her address stressed upon the need to follow discipline during the assembly and keep the school environment clean. She extended her best wishes to everyone for a stimulating and a productive year ahead.
