IES Organized Orientation Programme for the Parents of Grades 5 and 9

Indian Educational School, Bhavans, Kuwait in its preparation to welcome the new batches of students for the session 2018-19, organized an orientation programme for the parents of grade 5 and 9 in the school auditorium on 31st March, 2018. The session was flagged off by Mr. Suresh V. Balakrishnan, the Senior Vice Principal, extending a congenial welcome to the parents and elaborating on academics with a special emphasis on the assessment of scholastic and co-scholastic domains. Mrs. Meenakshi Nayyar, the Vice Principal CCA, explained the significance of co-curricular activities at school and also expounded the rules and regulations formulated to foster discipline in the children. Mr. T. Premkumar, the Principal, addressed the parents and enlightened them on the unanticipated revamping of the syllabus of English of Grades 9 and 11. The principal also announced the change in the uniform for the students of KG to 12, and spoke about the rationale behind going for a change after 12 years. In the ensuing interactive session, he answered the queries of the parents, both academic and other concerns, reaffirming Bhavans’ commitment to the concept of providing quality education. The parents were convinced and highly appreciative of the efforts of Bhavans in setting an example in the field of education, in the Middle East. The session concluded with an exchange of pleasantries between the eager parents, the enthusiastic students and the competent teachers.
