KTPA Celebrated “International Women’s Day - 2018

KTPA Celebrated “International Women’s Day!-2018” as Madam Muna Al Fuzai Felicitated as the Chief Guest.

Kuwait Tamilosai Poets Association (KTPA) convened their 143rd monthly literary meet to celebrate International Women’s Day on 2nd March,2018,Friday at The Kohinoor Party Hall, Souk Al Sabah Area, Fahaheel-Kuwait. The Function began with the recitation of Tamil Anthem at 10 am in the hall re-named as “Arunthamizh Pulavar Avvaiyaar Pukazharankam” well decorated to remember and remind the glory of legendary ancient, renowned Lady Tamil Poet “Avvaiyaar”. KTPA’s Medical wing Secretary-Nurse Mrs.Josephine Robert presided over the meet keeping senior member Mrs.Mohana KavisaySekar as front stager on the Dais. Custodian Committee Member Poet Vittukatti Masthan started the meeting with his impressive beginning note. President Mr.Robert delivered the welcome address and sang beautifully the theme song. Furthermore, The members enthralled the audience with their mind provoking poems and melodious sweet songs. Vice President- Engr. Somasundaram explained the urgent needs to conserve water in his valuable speech. An awesome poem was recited on “Natural resources” by Poet Aaroor Sivaraman.

Prominent Kuwaiti Writer-Journalist Mrs.Muna Al Fuzai,Columnist-“Kuwait Times” English Daily graced the function as The Chief Guest of Honor amidst the enthusiastic warm welcome by the gathering. She was felicitated with the award title “Valiant Victorious Writer” for her continuous courageous constructive contribution in the Media field. She was abundantly praised by all. Professor Mr.Mark,GUST University whom attended the function as co-chief guest was also honored in the event. All the lady members and Girl children were dignified by Mrs.Muna in the course, which imparted immense joy and wonderful feelings. A petition duly signed by KTPA’s members to publish a weekly Tamil edition of Newspaper in Kuwait, was requested and handed over to Madam Muna on behalf of over a lakh of residing Tamil Community. A Majestic Parade organized and enacted by all of the lady members carrying the Kuwaiti and Indian National Flags mesmerized the audience. Dr.Ramesh,PT Master of Indian Central School, Jleeb-Kuwait, was also felicitated with the award “Udarkalvi Semmal” for his recent attainment of Doctorate in Physical Education in India. Sweets were happily distributed. Poets Pattukkottai Balu and Dharaa recited awakening poems on “Word Consumer’s Day” and “World Day for the Physically Challenged!” respectively.An interesting Seminar entitled in Tamil as “Poovaiyavar Paarin Paavaiyavar!”(Literally Means : Ladies are the Eye Pupils of the World) was organized as World Women’s Day Special. Mrs.Revathi Kannan on the topic “Women’s Bravery”,Poet U.K.Sivakumar on “Women’s Compassion”,Mrs.VijayaPriya Ramanan on “Women’s Power” and Poet Pattukkottai Sathyan on “Women’s Wisdom”, effectively delivered their mind blowing notes on various related topics. KTPA’s Honorary President-Poet S.Sadhik Batcha offered a scintillating speech on “Let us adore Ladies!”.Senior Poet Vidhyasagar recited an elegant poem on little sparrows.EC Member Mr.Vetriyoor Makizhan wisely presented a note on World Anti-Racist Day. A number of Tamil Patrons, Businessmen and Representatives of Fellow Associations graced the function with their august presence. Treasurer-Poet Shamsudeen delivered the vote of thanks for the meet. KTPA’s Deputy Secretary Mr.Mannai Raja,Joint Treasurer Mr.Aranthai Ganesan,EC members Mr. Hasan Mohammed,Trichy Kamaaludeen,”Athi raadum Sathiraadi” Mr.Ashok along with other volunteers efficiently accomplished all the arrangements for the Program.The Function concluded with a delicious lunch served to all by 2:30 pm.
