Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) conducted Mupperum Vizha 2018

Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) has conducted Mupperum Vizha, which combines the celebration of New Year, Pongal and Republic Day on 26th January 2018 at American International School, Hawally. KTS committee has decorated the reception with the theme as Pongal that portrays the typical Pongal Celebration in Tamilnadu. The event started traditionally with Lighting of Kuthuvilakku followed by Tamil Thai Vaazhthu and National Anthem of Kuwait and India sung by the Kids of KTS. President Mr. K. Pukazhendiran welcome the august gathering and the General Secretary N.Radhakrishnan presented the consolidated report of the events held so far in their tenure 2018.
To mark the celebration KTS organized a musical program with famous personalities from Tamilnadu. The music troupe “Uthayaraagam” with 14 Nos of musicians headed by U. K. Murali along with the Super Singers Mr. Deepak, Ms. Mathumitha and Mr. Mahalingam entertained the audience with the thunder of music. The songs chosen and the flow of songs fascinated the crowd and the members of KTS enjoyed thoroughly with nonstop celebration of Mupperum Vizha.

As a part of the celebration, veteran actor cum Director Mr. Thirumugan graced the celebration as a special Guest. The Vice President Mr.R. Ganeshkumar introduced him. Mr.Thirumugan gave an inspiring speech about his experiences and presented few glimpses of his new TV mega serial “KALYAANA VEEDU” which is going to be telecast in the Television soon.

To make the event more fun and frolic, Athithya TV fame Ms. Akalya and Mr.Senthil rocked the stage with their non-stop comedy and took control over the children.

Members of Kuwait Tamil Sangam enjoyed the multiple celebration Mupperum Vizha with full enthusiasm. This is possible only with the help of the sponsors of the event. The magnanimity shall be honored and KTS has done that. They honored all the sponsors with a shawl and a memento.

Kuwait Tamil Sangam honoured Mr. Mathi with the “Best Social Activist” award on recognizing his efforts and services to the community in Kuwait.

To mark the occasion more thrilled, KTS has conducted raffle and presented prizes for the lucky winners. The event started at 5 pm and the non-stop entertainment ended by presenting a memento to all the celebrities and vote of Thanks by the Treasurer Mr. Pandian.

The program ended with a delicious food served by Star Group of Restaurants Sangeetha and Meekosam.
