Expatriate Engineers must obtain no-objection certificate from Kuwait Engineers Society for iqama renewal

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) issued a circular to all labor department’s not to renew the residency permits of expatriate engineers unless they obtain a no-objection certificate from Kuwait Engineers Society (KES).

According to this directive, an expatriate engineer must obtain the NOC from Kuwait Engineers Society regarding his academic qualification.

Earlier, the Public Authority for Manpower and Kuwait Engineers Society had developed an electronic system for the verification of engineering degree. According to the current rule, for public sector employment, the engineering degree must be from an NBA accredited institution. The Kuwait Engineering society updates the list of NBA Accredited institutions across the country including India on yearly basis. The new directive will affect the expatriate engineers whose engineering degrees are not from the accredited institutions.
