Celebrating the 57th National Day and 27th Liberation Day with their two cents of fanfare and joy was Al-Rashed International Shipping Co. Amidst the busy schedules of the day, each department took time out and to proceed on to celebrate Kuwait’s most prominent celebratory event.

Al-Rashed International Shipping Co. is the country’s leading shipping company with expertise in bulk, breakbulk, Shipping Agents, Chartering, Contracting, Project Logistics and Freight Forwarding.

With a rich mix of expat and Kuwaiti staff, Al-Rashed has been celebrating National Day and Liberation Day since inception and is going strong with the 5th year of hosting inter-department decoration competition.

Showing solidarity and respect to the country which is the second home to the expat staff, the majority of them Indians, Al-Rashed has tried to encapsulate the pride of Kuwait and India’s association with Kuwait over the decades, in their small yet grand poise of happiness.

The preparation for the decoration is an apt example for the harmony that exists between Kuwaitis and Indians. The collaboration in ideation, design and setting the place were all in absolute tandem between the both.

The Kuwaiti workforce in Al Rashed proved indispensable in every aspect. It was a collective effort with the Indo-Kuwait employee rapport being notched up a tad high during every moment of association.

Each department was on their toes, planning and executing numerous ideas to carve out the best settings as the country they reside in goes into merriment. Creating different themes to capture the traditions of Kuwait and decorating their sprawling office building with flags and other designs, the staff of over 300 had imbibed the sense of joy along with the Kuwaiti brotherhood.

Running to stores to do the last minute purchase, blowing balloons, tying flags, getting the right décor and music to suit the occasion- all of us- irrespective of the nationality were running helter-skelter. All the mayhem culminated in 1 point- decorations in the office in par with the best.

Streams of Kuwaiti flags over each corridor artistically set with various props, balloon decorations and themes to suit the mood- each floor of the company had a different ambiance. One floor had a road theme which led the viewer to the Kuwait National Assembly and Kuwait skyline visible from a distance. The view opening up to the history of the assembly with its respected speakers made it a theme nonpareil.

The portrayal of Kuwait in all majesty with the corridors lit up in Kuwait national colors all add up to the festivities. Keeping in mind, the august traditions of the nation, long forlorn in the pages of history, each department spent hours burning the midnight oil to conceptualize and design the idea from scratch.

Al-Rashed group has been among the driving forces of Kuwait’s economy for over a century. Opened as a trading company, Al-Rashed quickly grew as Kuwait’s leading shipping company and has diverse portfolios under its hood.
