IDAK Launches “Member Welfare Fund” at Meet And Greet 2018.

The Indian Dentists’ Alliance in Kuwait or IDAK, introduced a unique initiative, the IDAK Members Welfare Fund during it’s, ‘Meet and Greet’ program held in “Inn & Go Hotel, Kuwait City” on 9th of February. The Welfare fund aims to financially support all IDAK members in case of an emergency to an active member and is probably the first such initiative by a professional association in Kuwait. The launch of the scheme was widely appreciated by the members.

In his Presidential address, Dr. Shaheer Malik stressed the need for organizing more programs and staying relevant to the times. General Secretary, Dr. George P Alex outlined the programs for next two years and announced new initiatives like Members Welfare Fund, introducing Patient Education materials in local languages and Arts Fest for School Children. Joint Secretary, Dr. Bobby Thomas introduced the new executive team comprising of a large number of first time committee members and women. Treasurer, Dr. Pramod Menon, welcomed the new members and urged them to become active in IDAK.

The proposal for IDAK Member Welfare Fund was outlined by Immediate Past President and IDAK Member Welfare Board Chairman, Dr. Jitendra Ariga, while President Elect, Dr. Rajesh Alexander handed over the mementos to sponsors. Vice President Dr Seema Samuel delivered the Welcome speech and Second Joint Secretary Dr. Jayashree Dexith proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The evening was made lively through the cultural events and games organized by IDAK Cultural Committee which helped members to interact with each other and develop new friendships. The Sports Committee introduced the teams and their captains for IDAK Sports and Games Championship. MCs for the event were Dr. Reeby Sara Thomas, Dr. Maya Philip and Dr. Aysha George. The Event Management Committee, Membership Committee and Cultural Committee, helped the Council to organize the event to perfection. The event was partially sponsored by SFS Homes and Pierre Fabre Oral Care.
