School must inculcate the right values in our children; Ambassador K Jeeva Sagar

It is our responsibility to inculcate the right values in our children at home and at school, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait K Jeeva Sagar said. He was speaking at the 11th Annual celebration of Bharatheeya Vidhya Bhavan Kuwait. "Educational institutions are not a factory to churn out the graduates. In a factory we can replace a defective product but once we infuse a wrong step in a child’s development, it is very difficult to revert back," he said. Schools have a responsibility toward the parents also. The parents think that their wards are in safe hands when they sending their kids to school. You are dealing with precious human beings he said. School create a responsible citizen with a vision for the future.

No educational institution will be successful without a bright vision of the top leaders, Ambassador said while congratulating the Bhavans Middle East Chairman Sri Ramachandra Menon for the 11th annual celebration of Bhavans Kuwait.

"If we failed to inculcate the fundamentals of value education, we lost them," Ambassador said siting several examples from his personal life. Parents need to be careful while putting their vision on their children. Let us not commercialize the life of our children, Ambassador said. Never encourage him to be someone for a wrong reason. If you wish your child to be a doctor, lawyer or any other professional, don’t wish that only because they are heavily paid, rather teach him how a these profession can change our society so that your child will understand its importance, he said.

Indians are very much family oriented. We love our family and that is why we don’t go on the wrong side in our life. We need to remember always that my freedom stops at the door of the other person where his freedom starts, he concluded.

Earlier Ambassador Jeeva Sagar inaugurated the 11th annual celebration of Bhavans Kuwait by lighting the lamp in presence of Guest of Honor Ambassador of Guayana, Bhavans Middle East Chairman Sri Ramachandra Menon, Director Sooraj Ramachandran, Principal Sri T Prem Kumar, SIS Principal Sri Mahesh Iyer and other dignitaries.
