Body of unidentified domestic helper found in the freezer of an apartment

The body of an unidentified Filipina domestic helper was found in the freezer of an apartment by police yesterday. The body was discovered after police entered the flat in Salmiya after a court order was issued. The apartment had been closed since its renters left Kuwait in November 2016.

According to local media report, police allegedly found fatal stab wounds on the woman’s neck and torture marks across her body, and identified her employers - a Lebanese man and his Syrian wife, as the prime suspects in the case.

The woman’s identity remains uncertain.
