AAM, St.Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church (Maha Edavaka) Kuwait,Conducted Free Medical Camp

Anti Alcoholism Movement, a Spiritual Organization of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church (Maha Edavaka), Kuwait, had successfully conducted its ninth Free Medical Camp in association with Kuwait Medical Association, Indian Doctor’s Forum, Indian Dentists' Alliance and Kuwait Heart Foundation on Friday 12th Jan, 2018 from 8 AM to 2 PM at Integrated Indian School, Abbassiya.

The Medical Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Abhay Patwari , President of Indian Doctor’s Forum. He emphasized on the need of the hour to support the needy people from the community. He promised the IDF’s commitment to support AAM in its future ventures. Rev. Fr. Jacob Thomas (Vicar, St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Kuwait ) congratulated all the Doctors, Nurses and all the volunteers of AAM for making this event a grand success in his key note address. In addition to Dr. Abhay’s inaugural speech, Dr Syed Rahman (Secretary, Community Services-IDF), Dr. Prathap Unnithan (Chairman-Community Welfare Committee, IDAK), Mr. Abu Kamal (Kuwait Heart Foundation), assured their support and co-operation for the event.

Mr. Ebey Samuel (Secretary, Anti Alcoholism Movement) welcomed all the Doctors and Nurses for the Medical Camp, Rev. Fr Giju George (Associate Vicar, SGIOME ), Mr. Samuel Chacko (Vise President, AAM) , Mr. Ajish Thomas ( Trustee, SGIOME), Mr. Abraham C Alex, ( Secretary, SGIOME) delivered felicitation speeches during the inaugural function. Mr Samkutty George (Medical Camp Equipment Coordinator) thanked IDF, IDAK, Kuwait Heart Foundation and all the Doctors, Nurses and all those worked hard behind this great event.

More than 40 doctors from various specialties like General Medicine, Pediatric, Gynecology, Oncology, Dental, Skin, Cardiology, Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gastrology, in addition to that, 30 Nurses and 35 volunteers from AAM joined hands together to make this camp a grand success. Various medical diagnosis like Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, ECG, Ultrasound Scan, Dental checkup and Eye testing were provided for free of cost in the camp. More than 500 people from various nationalities attended the Medical Camp. The success of Medical Camp 2018 has reiterated AAM’s commitment to social responsibility, to help and support the most deserving fellow beings of the expatriate community.
