Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) conducted Children’s Day function

Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) conducted Children’s Day function at Smart Indian School on Friday, 24th Nov, 2017. The function was presided over by Dr.G.Baskaran, Vice chancellor, Tanjore Tamil University, Tamilnadu, India. The program started traditionally by lighting of “Kuthuvilakku” followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu and National Anthem of Kuwait and India.

Children of KTS showcased their talents in variety of cultural events. The hall was filled with innocent kids with fancy dresses; recitation of Thirukkural, melodious songs and music, vibrant dances, brilliant quizzes, outstanding speeches, scintillating poems, mesmerizing Dub smash, thoughtful dramas etc., the event was organized for the children and by the children. Children did excellent compering for all the events presented. Nearly 300 + kids of age group from 3 to 17 years participated in the events enthusiastically.

The auditorium was tightly packed by the members of KTS from 9 am to 6 pm and enjoyed the power packed non-stop entertainment by the talented kids. The children performed in vibrant and colourful attire which was a real feast to our eyes and ears.
As a part of the program, Mr. Gothandaraman, Senior Principal of Velammal International School, Chennai participated and presented the valuable information about the school.

The Chief Guest Dr. G.Bhaskaran, Vice Chancellor delivered a Speech in which he expressed his immense happiness about the program, Mr. K. Pukazhendiran, gave the Presidential address, Mr. N.Radhakrishnan, General Secretary welcomed the Chief Guest and the august Gathering & Mr. R. Anantharaj, Joint Treasurer proposed vote of Thanks.

The delightful day concluded with the felicitation of outstanding students of 10th & 12th Standard for the academic year 2016-17, prize distribution for all the kids participated in the various events and for the sports events held earlier.

For the children who gave feast to our eyes and ears and to the members of KTS a Delicious feast was served from Sangeetha Restaurant, Salmiya.

Finally, KTS thanked all the sponsors for the successful conduct of the program and the members of KTS for their unstinted cooperation and encouragement.
