Super 30 fame Mr Anand Kumar to give Key note speech at Shaastrotsav this Friday

Super 30 fame famous educationalist Mr.Anand Kumar will be giving a keynote address on Friday, December 8th at the much awaited Shaastrotsav at Al Zumerida Hall, Bida'a, Opp Salwa.

The "Shaastrotsav - the Festival of Science" organized by popular community portal IndiansinKuwait.com and Kuwait chapter of NSS College of Engineering (Palakkad) Alumni Association.

While the full day event Shaastrotsav will be starting from 10:00 am with various science exhibitions, robotic football tournament, Rubic Cube solving contest etc, the key note speech by Ananth Kumar will be held at 5:00 pm.

Anand Kumar, who started Super 30 in 2002 to provide free coaching, food and accommodation to 30 students coming from the poorest strata of society. Since then, over 350 students from the institute have cracked the IIT-JEE. By 2017, 396 out of the 450 had made it to the IITs and Discovery Channel showcased his work in a documentary. He has been invited by the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University to speak on his globally acclaimed effort to mentor students from the underprivileged sections for admission to IIT. Kumar has been featured in programmes by the BBC. He has spoken about his experiences at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, different IITs, University of British Columbia, Tokyo University and Stanford University. Kumar is in the Limca Book of Records (2009) for his contribution in helping poor students pass the IIT-JEE by providing them free coaching. Time magazine included Super 30 in the list of Best of Asia 2010. Kumar was awarded the S. Ramanujan Award for 2010 by the Institute for Research and Documentation in Social Sciences (IRDS) in July 2010.

In addition to Keynote speech by Mr.Anand Kumar (Super 30 fame) , there will be the Robotic Football tournament and Team Indus - The Star event of Shaastrotsav where TeamIndus will be making a presentation about their mission and demonstrate the model of the rover they are planning to send to moon.

Shaastrotsav will also have other contests and demonstrations related to science and technology.
