For the first time in Kuwait, 'Robotic Football Tournament' this Friday

The much awaited 'Robotic Football tournament' will be held in Kuwait for the first time on Friday, 8th December 2017 at Al Zumerida Hall, Bida'a, Opp Salwa. The 'Robotic Football tournament' will be held as part of "Shaastrotsav - the Festival of Science" organised by popular community portal IndiansinKuwait.com and Kuwait chapter of NSS College of Engineering (Palakkad) Alumni Association.

Robotic football is a classic soccer game played with two autonomous robots which chase an infra-red transmitting ball around a table top football field with the aim to score more goals. Seven teams from Kuwait with 3 members in each team are participating in the Robotic Football tournament, which will be starting from 1:00 pm onwards. The team will design and program one Robot to compete against an opposing Robot. Shaastrotsav will be held from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Robotics enthusiasts from all walks of life can witness this first of its kind show in Kuwait. It will give an opportunity for the public, the experience of watching autonomous robots playing football against each other. Entry to the event is totally free. The aim is to promote robotics and AI research, by offering a publicly appealing, but formidable challenge.

In addition to the Robotic Football tournament, there will be Keynote speech by Mr.Anand Kumar (Super 30 fame) and Team Indus - The Star event of Shaastrotsav where TeamIndus will be making a presentation about their mission and demonstrate the model of the rover they are planning to send to moon.

Shaastrotsav will also have other contests and demonstrations related to science and technology.
