IDAK organises "Heartsaver First Aid Course"

Indian Dentists' Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) organized a series of "HEARTSAVER FIRST AID Courses" for its members in association with Gulf CPR Training Institute at the Kuwait Medical Association Training Center, KMA, Jabriya, on October 13, 27 & 28, 2017.

This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course from American Heart Association (AHA) taught the doctors how to manage injuries in the first few minutes of an emergency and illnesses until professional help arrives. It included General Principles of First Aid,
Medical & Injury Emergencies & Environmental Emergencies with hands-only CPR by AHA guidelines.

Management of various emergencies were covered such as Temperature-Related Emergencies,
Poison Emergencies, Wounds, External Bleeding, Internal Bleeding, Head, Back, and Neck Sprains, Broken bones and sprains, Burns, Breathing problems, Choking, Bad allergic Reactions, Heart Attack, Fainting, Diabetes and low blood sugar, Stroke, Seizures and Shock. The participants were also given training on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

More than 30 doctors attended the training courses and benefited immensely from it. The Indian Dentists' Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) regularly organises a series of such training programs and continuing education programs for its members, to keep them updated in the latest medical practices and developments.
