Kala (Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2017” Children’s Day Painting Competition held with Splendor and Pride

All roads led to Indian Community School, Khaitan, venue of Kala (Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2017” Children’s Day Painting Competition in Association with “AMERICAN TOURISTER”, on Friday, 10th November 2017. There was a festive air prevailed over and the sunny and serene weather with cool breeze was also a great blessing to the event. A world filled with colours and lines were blooming.

"NIRAM-2017” the popularly known painting competition on the occasion of Children's Day celebration by marking the 128th birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India. Kala (Art) Kuwait is delighted to celebrate 13th Anniversary of “NIRAM” Painting Competition with elegance and glory which is opened for all students of Indian Schools in Kuwait.

There were more than a Total of 2430 entries out of which 2224 children took part in the competitions. Clay Sculpture was also a competition item for the students and the parents were actively participated in the open canvas as well. Various Gift items were distributed to all participants immediately upon competition of the competition.

Indian Community School Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rehman inaugurated the event. Kala (Art) Kuwait President Samkutty Thomas, General Secretary Sunil Kumar, Program General Convener Jaison Joseph, Treasurer Johny Kalamachal, Indian Community School Vice Chairman Vinu Nair, Principal Mr. Gangadhar Shirshad, Kala(Art) Kuwait Sambasivan Award winner Dr. Vasanthakumar Sambasivan, BEC General Manager Mathew Varghese, Prominent Community Leaders Krishnan Kadalundy, K. J. John, Azeez Thikkody, Shyjith, N.S.Jayan, Haneef C. Kala(Art) Kuwait Officials C Bhaskaran, Rakesh P D, Hassan Koya, Siva Kumar, Aneecha Shyjith and Mukesh V. P. were also attended the inaugural function.

Well Known Artists Shammy John, Sunil Kulanada, Nikesh and Sasi Krishahan were supervised the competition. More than 100 Volunteers were controlled the program lead by Kala (Art) Kuwait Executive Members Rathidas, Sameer P P, Suresh, Aneesh, Rijo, Ashraf, Mustafa, Santhosh. O.M., Mohanan, Bharathan, Sajeesh, Sunil Chacko, Shibin Rajan, Vibin, Santhosh Joseph and Renuka Bhaskaran.

The result of the Competition will be announced by the organizing committee as well as the judging committee on 1st December 2017 through leading newspapers and also websites.

Kala (Art) Kuwait, announce exclusive prizes for the winners. The first place winners of each group will receive a Gold coin & Gold medal, second place winner with silver medal and third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento & certificate. Besides the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, places, there will be Merit Prizes and Ten (10) percent of the participants will be awarded with consolation prizes. Apart from the winners, Certificates to all participants in appreciation of their participation in the event will be distributed through respective Schools.

The organizers have expressed their entire satisfaction on the successful completion of the competition and take this opportunity to thank all Children, Parents, Management and Teachers of all Indian schools in Kuwait, Representatives of various Indian socio-cultural organizations in Kuwait and all our Sponsors for their active participation and wholehearted support for making the event as a grant success. Kala (Art) Kuwait has once again proved beyond doubt that it upholds the interests of all Art lovers in Kuwait and will continue its support for promotion of Art (Kala). Students and parents are familiar with 'NIRAM', and they can no longer be deceived, as this is the 13th consecutive year Kala (Art) Kuwait has been successfully conducted this prestigious painting competition on the occasion of Children's day.

A large number of prominent leaders of various Indian socio-cultural organizations, media persons and sponsors were also witnessed the competition.
