Minister M.J. Akbar met Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled Al-Jarallah

Visiting Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Shri M.J. Akbar met Kuwaiti Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled Al-Jarallah and discussed topic of bilateral nature. Minister MJ Akbar was accompanied by the high level delegation including Joint Secretary for Gulf affairs at External Affairs ministry.

India and Kuwait discussed ways of boosting cooperation and latest developments on regional and international scenes. Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Amal Al-Hamad, Kuwait Ambassador to India Fahad Ahmad Al-Awadhi, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sri Sunil Jain and the Ministry of Finance's Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Nabeel Al-Abduljalil also attended the meeting.

Minister M.J. Akbar and the high level delegation is in Kuwait to attend the third Meeting of India–Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation. This is his first official visit to Kuwait at the invitation of the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mr. Anas Khaled Al-Saleh.
