Plan to implement road toll on Sheikh Jaber Causeway

Ministry of Public Works is studying a proposal to implement road toll on the new Sheikh Jaber Causeway, which connects Kuwait city with Doha.

According to Al-Anba daily, the proposal stipulates fee of KD 1 for small vehicles and KD 2 for trucks using the Sheikh Jaber Causeway while motorists crossing Doha Junction will be charged 500 fils.

The toll will be used for the maintenance work of the causeway which will be high as it covers surface and underwater activities.

According to daily, the ministry in coordination with Cabinet and the Ministry of Finance will implement the proposal.
