“IOSH Working Safely” Training Program

To enhance HSE culture in the region and providing a best platform for members to improve their skills and knowledge in HSE profession, American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter organized “IOSH Working Safely” Training Program dated on 14th July 2017, at Best Western Hotel, Mahabola.

ASSE Kuwait Chapter is Lead by Chairman Mr. Fadhel Al-Ali, and a non- profit organization which always strives to provide affordable & quality training programs and consultation in the field of Health, Safety and Environment for many companies in Kuwait.

Mr. Sunil N Sadanandan, Secretary of ASSE Kuwait chapter briefed about the chapter activities and upcoming programs, Mr. Muhammad Alamgir President of ASSE Kuwait chapter term 2017/18 in his welcome address highlighted the significance of the training courses and appreciated the participants for their interest to learn and enhance their professional development and to get certified by Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) of United Kingdom. Mr. Adnan Yousaf, Head of Training Committee, introduced the trainer Mr. Aamir Rasheed and thanked the past Presidents & Advisory Committee Members Mr. Mohammad K.S. Mohiuddeen and Mr. Rama Krishna Chary, who came forward to encourage the young safety professionals in first training Session of term 2017-18.

Mr. Aamir Rasheed is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner (CMIOSH), Lead Auditor & Tutor of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001, Full Member of IIRSM UK, Lead Tutor of Nebosh IGC, IOSH, HABC Tutor as well as obtained many International HSE certifications. Mr. Aamir is a Mechanical Engineer and poses 14 years of valuable experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Construction industries. Currently, he is working as a Safety Engineer in Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and also as Vice President of ASSE KC.
The training program was effectively delivered referencing International standards and analyses as well as examples of job related safety situations. Participants who will successfully complete the assessment will receive a certificate from Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
