Over 3 tons of spoilt foodstuff seized in Shuwaikh, Rai raids

Authorities seized 3 tons 500 kilograms of expired food items in a campaign held at Shuwaikh Industrial Area and Rai Area.

According to report, inspectors confiscated and destroyed 300 kilograms of spoilt olive oil, 2500 kilograms of egg, and 700 kilograms of cheese. Officials also issued 33 citations, of which 20 involved foodstuffs and 13 for billboards.

Officials urged consumers to buy foodstuffs from certified outlets and call the Municipality via 1844448 whenever they suspect foul play.
