IDAK conducted 2nd International Symposium

Indian Dentists’ Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) in association with the Kuwait Dental Association (KDA) and the Faculty of Dentistry of Kuwait University, conducted the 2nd IDAK International Symposium on the theme “Emerging Trends in Dentistry,” on May 12th, 2017. This Symposium was organized in Health Sciences Center Auditorium of the Kuwait University at Jabriya.

The Symposium was organized in 3 sessions, from 9 am to 7:30 pm, and featured five speakers of international repute, three from India, one from Australia and one speaker from Kuwait

The speakers were Dr. Sherry Peter, Lead Consultant in Cranio-Maxillofacial surgery in Aster Medcity, Ernakulam, India, Dr. Soni Stephen, Specialist Paediatric Dentist and Senior Clinical Lecturer, University of Sydney, Australia, Dr. Mohammad Abdulwahab, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Dentistry, Kuwait University, Dr. Vijaysinh More, Professor, Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology, at Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Pune, India, and Dr. Vivek Hegde, Professor and Head, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics of M.A. Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Pune, India & Faculty at University of Vienna, Austria.

The eminent speakers covered a wide range of topics of clinical interest such as “Behaviour and Pain Management in Children,” “French Bone Volumetric Classification,” “Distraction Osteogenesis,” “Newer Concepts in Endodontics,” “Recent Advances in Pulp Therapy,” “Management of Failed Dental Anaesthesia,” “Implant Occlusion,” “Treatment Options for Separated Instruments,” and “Esthetic Reconstruction in Maxillofacial Surgery.”

More than 300 dentists attended this event, including several heads of dental departments of the various centers of the Ministry of Health, Kuwait, and at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kuwait University, Jabriya.
