Bharatiya Vidaya Bhavan Conducts Career Counselling Session for its Twelfth Graders

Indian Educational School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait has a long legacy of conducting numerous career counselling sessions for its students, as Bhavans believes in widening the horizons of the millennial learners through career guidance, and personality development to move towards a personally determined, and an evolving future.
The first career counselling session of the academic year 2017-2018 for the twelfth graders was held in the school hall on April 10, 2017, Monday. The students were privileged to be a part of the career guidance session conducted by the career counsellors of the St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. This prestigious Canadian University boasts of 200 years of educational excellence and enjoys avant-garde universal recognition.

Ms. Jenny Calder, the International Recruitment Specialist led the presentation, along with Ms. Firdous Sait, the Regional Manager of the Canadian University Application Centre.

Ms. Calder addressed the high-spirited scholars of Bhavans. She familiarized the students with the facilities, the best in class infrastructure of the university, and the courses offered by the university. She also spoke about the experienced and highly qualified faculty, the scholarship system, the expected educational expenses, and the opportunities provided by the university.

The ensuing question-answer session shed light further on the living expenses, the system of accommodation, and the detailed course fee applicable from the next academic year. The students were also invited for a one on one session later in the evening. The career counselling session conducted exclusively for the Bhavanites was beneficial to the core. The session helped the learners choose a future path leading to their cherished goals and their attainment.
