KKMA - Indian Doctors Forum Celebrated World Health Day with a mass Medical Camp for Public.

The Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association (KKMA), the leading social welfare organization of Indians in Kuwait together with Badr Al Sama Medical Center and Indian Doctors Form celebrated the World Health Day on Friday, 7th April 2017 by organizing a large scale Medical Screening and Consultation Camp for Indians in Kuwait. The Camp was also supported by Kuwait Medical Association, Kuwait Herat Foundation, Dasman Diabetic Institute, Association of Indian Ophthalmologists, Indian Dentists Alliance Kuwait (IDAK), and Saudi Kuwait Pharmaceuticals Company.

Mr. Sunil Jain, His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Kuwait inaugurated the Medical Screening Camp. He commended the community services of KKMA such as support patients in the hospitals and for the repatriation of dead bodies to India. Mr. N.A. Muneer Chairman of KKMA presided over the meeting.

The camp held in Pakistan Excel English School Abbasiaya on Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. A dedicated team of medical professional led by IDF President Dr. Abhay Patwara, along with more than 30 expert physicians specialized in cardiology, dermatology, diabetic and endocrinology, E.N.T., gastroenterology, general medicine, gynecology, nephrology, Ophthalmology, orthopaedic, pediatric, and general surgery provided their dedicated services to nearly 1400 patients who attended the Camp.
To mark the occasion, KKMA has published a special health guide containing medical tips and awareness literatures. Mr. Abdul Fattah Thayyil, convenor of health provided details on the guide, and Mr. Sunil Jain, the Ambassador released the guide by giving a copy to Mr. Ashraf Ayoor, Project Manager of Bader Al Sama Medical Center. In respect of World Health Day celebrations and its main theme ‘Depression: Let’s Talk”, medical awareness messages were delivered by Mr. Sageer Trikaripur, Dr. Abahy Patward and Dr. Susewana Sujith Nair.

During the event, KKMA also introduced a Heart Check Up Card , which can be used at organization’s Early Detection Center (EDC) recently opened in the city of Kannur, Kerala State. Dr. Mohammed Syed, Secretary of IDF Comunnity Service Wing released the Medical Discount Card by giving the first one to Mr. Abdul Fattah Thayyil.

The Art of Living Kuwait Team conducted multiple sessions of Health and Mind Relaxing Programs. Mr. Balaji, Prem Krishnan, Dharmajan, and Pooja VenuGopal lead the physical exercise activities along with the tips for happy and health.

A special food packet of fresh vegetable and fruits were given to the participants delivering a health message “Eat Fresh and Live Healthy”.

Appreciation mementos presented to the supporters of the Medical Camp, IDF, Badr Al Sama Medical Center, Kuwait Heart Foundation, Kuwait Saudi Pharmasuitical Company, Baharain Exchange Company, Grand Hyper Market, Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait, Indian Opthalmology Association by Mr. N.A. Muneer, Ali Matra, Ibrahim Kunnil, Abdul Fattah Thayyil, Hamsa Payyanoor, K.C. Rafeek, Abdul Salam .A.P. respectively.

Organizing Committee leaders BM Iqbal, A.P. Abdul Salam, C. Firoz, K.C. Gafoor, V.K. Gafoor, Muneer Kuniya, Aboobacker Mayyeri, Hameed Mulki, Eng. Hamsakutty, Shamseer Nasser, Haneefa lead various arrangements required for the Camp. A team of very dedicated disciplined volunteers lead K.C. Kareem, Majeed Rawabi, Shereef. P.M., Zamzam Rasheed, Ashraf Mankav, Saleem Kommery, relentlessly offered their dedicated efforts for the success of the medical camp.
