Indian Overseas Congress Award Ceremony

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) is organising the Award Ceremony for honoring the winners of IOC Arts Festival-2016 at 6:00pm on Friday, 24th March 2017 at United Indian School, Abbassiya. The details were released during a press conference attended by Shri. K.J John-President, Raju Zacharias-Gen. Secretary, Tony Mathew-Treasurer, Jacob Kavalam-Secretary, Saji George-General Convenor and Tomichen-Covenor.

During the IOC Arts Festival-2016 conducted during last 6th and 7th October 2016, competitions were held for Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Mono act, Poster Poetry, Patriotic Song, drawing/painting, Elocution, Poetry recitation, Solo singing and Group Dance. The competions were conducted for different age groups on two different stages and children from differet parts of Kuwat participated.

The Chief Guest of the Award Ceremony is Shri. Sunnykutty Abraham, prominent journalist. Performance of the winnesr will be on stage at 6:00pm followed by the public meeting which will be presided over by the IOC president Shri. K.J John. Various committees are preparing to conduct the programme to ensure all the winners receive their trophies and medals from the chief Guest. The Special Memorial Award established in the name of Late Pala K.M Mathew, “Kalamayukha” declared awarded to Parvathy Sudheer Nair from Girls section who placed top in the individual events also will be awarded on the occasion. Shri. Somu Mathew-Director of Pala K.M mathew Foundation, Shri. Moosakoya- Former editor-Kuwait Times and Adv. John Thomas- United Indian School will felicitate on the occasion.

Dignitaries and leaders of various Indian organizations are invited to witness the occasion of honoring the award winners.
