Spectacular Whizkid Award Ceremony Held in ICSK Amman

A prestigious prize distribution ceremony was conducted for the winners of 'Whizkid Competition' on 14th February 2017 at the Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman. On this occasion, Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph, Principal of Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS)was the Chief Guest..



Mr. Rajesh Nair. C, Principal welcomed all the guests and informed that each child of the ICSK is seen gifted with special talents and all the children must participate in all the competitions whether they win or not. Whizkid is the right platform to encourage them to come forward and showcase their credentials.

Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph addressed the gathering and expressed her joy of being a part of the function.Her message was a tremendous boost as she encouraged the kids to read more books to widen their knowledge.



The students of the pre-primary section created a colourful ambiance with their beautiful attires and performed a few spectacular dances.

The teachers and the parents collectively nurtured and trained the children bringing out the artistic, musical and other talents in them. The Whizkid Competitions were a blend of a variety of different competitions held for LKG and UKG together for a week. LKG students competed in dance, recitation, puzzle, show & tell and complete the picture. Whereas the UKG students had collage work, quiz, show and tell, recitation and dance competitions. The Whizkid competition began on 15th January 2017 and was completed in a week’s time with the combined efforts of the parents, coordinators, judges and class teachers.



The winners of Whizkid who reached the zenith of success from LKG and UKG were crowned and awarded with trophies and certificates.

Whizkid winners from each section of LKG are (1) Raina Maryam LKG – A, (2) Nouril Althara Mariyam LKG – B, (3) Aadil. P. Latheef LKG – C and (4) Daniel Joffin Thachil LKG – D.



Whizkid winners from each section of UKG are (1) RidaMajeed UKG – A, (2) Zahra Mazhar UKG – B, (3) Amritha Unnikrishnan UKG – C, (4) ShikhaWagle UKG – D and (5) Keerthana Ganesh UKG – E.

10 students were awarded with the 1st Runner-ups trophies and certificates, 9 students with the 2nd Runner-ups trophies and certificates. .



The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by the students of UKG and Mrs. Julie Anthony, the Supervisor of the Pre-Primary section.
