IEI Kuwait Chapter Conducted Technical Seminar

The Institution of Engineers (India), Kuwait Chapter conducted seminar on the design aspects of civil defense shelters titled, “If it gets dangerous outside stay safe inside” on 7th February 2017. Event was conducted at Failaka Ballroom of Radisson Blu Hotel.

Mr Michael Riedo, CEO, Andair AG, Switzerland delivered the Lecture. He has been in the shelter technology business for seventeen years. He has been involved in the design of C4 I Shelters, Large Ammunition Storage Shelters, Navy Shelters, Air Force Shelters, Protected Control Rooms (Nuclear power stations, police HQs, etc.). He shared many design aspects of specialized construction which goes into shelter technology. Mr Beat J. Weingartner, Head of Sales, Andair AG, Switzerland was also present. Event was sponsored by M/S Worldtech Trading Co. Mr Thomas Mathew, Director alogwith other senior company officials were present at the venue.

Dr. Rumane Abdul Razzak, Chairman IEI Kuwait chapter in his welcome address appreciated members for their important role in participating in such knowledge sessions. He also welcomed sponsors and other dignitaries and thanked them for their support to IEI Kuwait Chapter activities. Event was attended by Vice President of Kuwait Society of Engineers, Engr Adnan Al sarraf. Engr Fatin Mohammed Al Foudary, Engineer from Civil Defense also attended the seminar.

Engr. Rishabh Nath Jain, General Secretary, IEI Kuwait chapter welcomed sponsors, guests and members and gave a brief about the need of such topics in present scenario.

Engr. Sudhir Menghani conducted the start-up session and invited all dignitaries on dais. He introduced the speaker and gave brief about the Sponsoring organization. At the end of session, Mr Michael answered the questions of audience interactively. Seminar concluded with the presentation of memento to the speaker.

Engr. Mohandass Kamath Executive member, IEI Kuwait chapter proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked all the Guests, Speaker, Sponsor, Participants and Supporters. Dinner was served at the conclusion of seminar.
