Association of Mar Ivanios College Old Students, AMICOS – Kuwait Chapter celebrated its 20th Annual Day

Association of Mar Ivanios College Old Students, AMICOS –Kuwait Chapter celebrated its 20th Annual Day “MICOSYMPHONY 2017” on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Cambridge Auditorium in Mangaf, Kuwait.

The Chief Guest was Mr. Adel Al Hammad - General Manager, Boubyan Bank Kuwait an eminent Human Resources Executive in the region.



Mr. Al Hammad spoke about the importance of the Indian civilization, its thinkers and teachings of the great institutions like Mar Ivanios college that has always stood up to the test of times.

He also mentioned how DAKSHINA Charity Project of AMICOS Kuwait Chapter or Compassion is a determinant in the evaluation of Indian culture and extended his fullest support to the future projects for the welfare of under privileged students.



He also recognized the contributions of expatriate communities, especially Indians, in the growth and development of Kuwait and the companies here.

Advocate Shibu Jacob, President - AMICOS Kuwait Chapter while delivering his Presidential address mentioned the involvement and contributions of the chapter in the development of the expatriate community through socio cultural services like Free Medical checkups, Health Seminars and charitable services by providing scholarship to the poor, underprivileged and backward students in India, through the project DAKSHINA.

Mr. Naveen Kurien, General Secretary welcomed the gathering and Mr. Noel Cherian, Treasurer delivered Vote of Thanks, where they highlighted AMICOS twenty years accomplishments.

Ms. Jyotsna, Mr. Job Kurien, Mr. William Francis and team from India presented an enthralling concert to commemorate AMICOS 20th Annual Day gathering.

The Auditorium was filled with over 400 AMICOS members with their families and friends. Mr. Wilson Varghese Group CEO – Trade Links, Mr. Niju John - General Convener, Ms. Anju Anna Jacob - Dakshina Convener, Mr. Diju Alexander -Program Convener and members from Executive Committee and Advisory Board were present.
