Saradhi Kuwait conducted Sargasangamam 2017

Saradhi Vanithavedi, the women’s wing of Saradhi Kuwait, conducted Sargasangamam 2017, the Annual Festival for Art and Culture of Saradhi Kuwait comprising of performances and completions of various artistic and cultural events among members of Saradhi Kuwait and their children.

The program witnessed massive presence of the entire organization of Saradhi Kuwait at all the venues where competitions were held. The festivity commenced on January 05, 2017, extended for five days at different venues. Over 1300 participants of various levels from Sub-Junior to General Category have exhibited their talents in 26 various artistic, cultural and literary events including poetry, music, fine arts and performing arts. The concluding ceremony of cultural competitions was held on January 13, 2017 at Kuwait Boys Scout Theater, Hawally.

The concluding ceremony on January 13, 2017 consisted of a formal inaugural function presided over by Ms. Roshni Biju, the Chairperson of Saradhi Vanithavedi and was inaugurated by Mr. Suresh. K, the President of Saradhi Kuwait. Program General Convener Mr. Baiju Sarangadharan welcomed the gathering and general secretary Sajeev Narayanan gave felicitations. The ceremony was witnessed by various dignitaries of Saradhi including Saradhi Patron Suresh Kochath, Saradhi Trust Chairman Anith Kumar, Vanitha vedi Acting Secretary Vijina Shanoob, Tresurer Ms. Jayakumari and a thousand plus strong audience from 13 units of Saradhi, their family and friends. Finals of various important competitions followed the formal concluding ceremony.

The ‘Kumaranasan Smaraka Ever Rolling Trophy’ award, for the Unit securing maximum points in the Sargasangamam competitions, was bagged by Fahaheel Unit. Kaashvi Subin Jagdish, Akhil Salimkumar, Nikhil Sudhakaran, and Shyam.K were declared as Kalaprathibha ,and Karthik Narayanan, Nanda Prasad, Nandhana Santhosh and Radha Gopinath were declared as Kalathilakam in sub junior, junior, senior and general categories, respectively. Anakha Manoj, Manisha Muraleedharan, Mekha Rajesh and Pooja Renjith were also awarded with special trophies for their outstanding performances.

The Award Ceremony was held on 20th January, 2017 at Indraprastha Auditorium, Mangaf. Mr. Joice George, Member of Parliament from Idukki Constituency, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, praised the relentless efforts of Saradhi Kuwait in inculcating the Cultural values and developing talents among the members and children despite being deprived of most the essential facilities that are available to their counter parts back in the home land.

During the Award Ceremony, Mr. Joice George released the Logo of ”Saradhi Center for Excellence”, an Educational Institution incorporated by Saradhi Trust. He also released the promo of “Saradhi Sports Meet-2017” during the occasion. Kumaranassan Smaraka Ever-Rolling Trophy, Kalaprathibha, and Kalathilakam Titles, trophies to winners in various events and Certificate of Appreciation were given away at the function.

The Award Ceremony was presided over by Ms. Roshni Biju, Chairperson –Vanithavedi, Saradhi Kuwait. Mr. Baiju Sarangadharan, General Convener of Sargasangamam 2017, delivered the Welcome Speech and felicitation speeches were delivered by Mr. Preethimon Valath, Vice President - Saradhi Kuwait, Mr. Sajeev Narayanan, General Secretary -Saradhi Kuwait, Mr. Suresh Kochath, Patron of Saradhi Kuwait, Mr. Biju Gangadharan, Vice Chairman - Saradhi Trust, and Vanitha Vedi Office bearers, Ms. Vijeena Sahnoob and Ms. Jayakumari. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Jayan Sadasivan, Joint Treasurer- Saradhi Kuwait.

Sargasamgamam, originally initiated a couple of years ago as a one-day cultural event for the children of Saradhi members, has now grown to a massive Annual Festival of cultural and artistic extravaganza, extending to week-long programs at various venues with the participation of members and families from all the 13 units of Saradhi. Sargasamgamam 2017, exhibiting the exceptional organizational skills of Saradhi Vanithavedi, is yet another golden feather in the cap of Saradhi Kuwait.
