2,121 people died in traffic accidents in last five years

A total number of 2,121 people died in traffic accidents in Kuwait between 2012 to 2016, Al-Anba Arabic news paper reported. Accoridng to statistics, this includes 869 Kuwaitis and 1,252 expatriates.
The number of people who sustained injuries due to traffic accidents during the same period was 45,068.
The daily also reported that the the number of drug related cases filed against Kuwaitis and expatriates during that period was 8,604. Among these cases, 3,858 were filed against expatriates, constituting 44 percent of the total number of cases.
