ASSE organized “IOSH Managing Safely” Training Program

Adding on to its illustrious pathways of educating and empowering its members, American Society of Safety Engineers, (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter organized IOSH Managing Safely” Training Program from 27th to 29th December 2016, at Best Western Hotel, Mahboula. The trainer for the program was Mr. Muhammad Alamgir, CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH. 16 ASSE KC members from different sectors, participated in this training and got benefited.

ASSE- Kuwait Chapter lead by Chairman Mr. Fadhel-Al Ali, is a non- profit organization which always strives to excel in providing quality trainings and consultation in the field of Health Safety and Environment all across different public and private sectors in Kuwait.

Mr. CH. Rama Krushna Chary, President of ASSE Kuwait chapter welcomed the participants. He briefed about the significance of the training seminar and the importance of conducting the training program to help the people get certification in the field of Health, Safety & Environment. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal thanked the trainer and the participants for their interest shown towards HSE. Mr. Sony Thomas CSP, Head of Training Committee, in his brief address, appreciated the participants for their interest to learn and enhance their professional development. Subsequently, he introduced the trainer Mr. Muhammad Alamgir.

Muhammad Alamgir is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) by BCRSP Canada, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by BCSP USA, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner (CMIOSH) by IOSH UK, Professional Member of American Society of Safety Engineers-USA, Full Member of IIRSM UK, Lead Auditor of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and obtained many other International HSE certifications. Mr. Alamgir is Chemical Engineer and has served more than a decade in the field of HSE including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical and Construction industries. He is currently Vice-President of American Society of Safety Engineers Kuwait Chapter (Term 2016/17).

The training seminar was meticulously carried on by the trainer and effectively communicated citing relevant industrial scenarios and case studies. The course helped the attendees to comprehend and adopt high standard occupational health and safety principles and practices in their particular work culture. The course enabled personnel to understand the company’s safety policy health and safety legislation. This training also provides the perfect base to take up the advanced NEBOSH courses.

Mr. CH. Rama Krushna Chary thanked the trainer for this initiative. The participants who will successfully complete the assessment and project will receive certificate from Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
