The most awaited day of the year, yes the class picnic…..The young boys and girls together with their dynamic teachers were more than excited to go to a picnic paradise. For us the Shaa'b Park was a paradise. We started our day with the morning assembly as usual and assembled in the school ground for take off.

The teachers hoped for us - the children to have fun. We sang away in all our buses until we reached the paradise. We went to various rides like the dinosaur, the ferries wheel, bumper cars or dodgems, the octopus, the disco and so on.

The Dinosaur was like a train ride inside a spooky cave filled with different types of dinosaurs like triceratops and tyrannosaurus rex. The light was dim and it came now and then and went off very quickly.

It was too intense and scary for our age, but we didn't find it fearful at all, as we are used to watching much more spookier things. The ferries wheel was a wheel filled with cabins for the people to be seated on. The scariest part was when we reached the top.

The bumper cars or dodgems was a car ride in which the person had to drive the car in an area with other drivers. They had bumps covered around their wheel side so that they could bump into each other instead of crashing in.

The kids of all ages went in and found it most satisfying and thrilling as compared to other rides. The kids had to be seated in the four tentacles consisting of four smaller holders. They had to sit on the holders. The smaller kids found it threatening and dizzy while the senior kids had a similar situation.

The disco was a circular area in which there were chairs in a circle. In the middle there were different colors. The junior kids didn't enter into because they were too small. We seniors found it a life - threatening situation and a death sentence.

Some of us came back with injuries and bruises. Above all, the young energetic and smarter boys and girls had a lot of fun that day. We took a lot of group photos and we ate what we desired for.

We felt sad leaving that paradise as it is the only place we dream of revisiting it. The teachers convinced us of returning home safe and we left. All's well that ends well. A great day for all the students and teachers as it strengthened the bond between one another.
