Dreams are the Life of stories: Writer Karunakaran

Stories get more strength and life from the dreams, writer Mr.Karunakaran commented. The scene of demonetized currencies floating over the Ganges fires the mind of writer to turn his/her dream to reality and fill with more life and depth to his/her stories.

He was talking at a function held by Prathibha Kuwait, an association of Malayalam writers in Kuwait. During the function, the group novel Ottakakkooth (Camel Play) written by Jawahar.K.Engineer, Abdul Latheef Neeleswaram, Satheesan Payyannur and Shibhu Philip has been released by Mr.Karunakaran, by handing over the book to writer Mrs. Shobha Suresh. The book is first of its kind in Indian Literature that four expatriates sit together to write a combined novel on expatriates.

Mr.Preman Illath has presided the function.

Mr.Burgman Thomas, Prof.John Mathew, Mr.Sunil Cheriyan, Mr.Riyas (Ayanam), Mr.Sathar Kunnil, Mr.Vibheesh Thikkodi, Mrs.Lissy Kuriakose, Mr.Lasar De Silva, Mr.P.N.Jyothidas, Mr.K.P.Balakrishnan, Mr.B.P.Surendran, Mr.Abdul Fathah Thayyil, Mrs.Dhanya Mohan, Mr.Prakasan Puthur, Mr.Abdul Latheef Neeleswaram and Mr.Jawahar.K.Engineer took part in the discussion held thereafter.

Mr.Sujith Muthukulam welcomed the gathering and Mr.K.M.Reaz delivered vote of thanks.
