Malabar Development Forum – Kuwait chapter Adhoc committee

Malabar Development Forum (M.D.F) headquartered in Kozhikode is an organization working towards the great goal of achieving the multi-faceted development of Malabar region of Kerala state. Malabar with its renowned historical & cultural background and known as a commercial hub still lacks progress in various areas. The past of it thrived through its proximity to Arabian Sea and many including Middle East accessed the sea roots and involved in mutual business.

Now as migration to gulf flourished and majority is from Malabar area, the Kozhikode (Karipur) airport plays a vital role in the region’s development. Unfortunately the airport’s growth has been stalled due to various reasons. MDF is currently focusing to revive that and bring the airport to its glory with the demand of reinstating the bigger flights to land in this international airport. In connection with it, there is a march demanding the particular issue and to meet the concerned for bringing their attention to it in Delhi on December 05th under the auspicious of MDF.

An ad-hoc committee has been formed in Kuwait as well prelude to forming the MDF Kuwait Chapter. The ad-hoc committee will coordinate to form MDF Kuwait Chapter full-fledged committee after December comprising of personalities from Malabar especially the users of the Karipur airport. Also it will propagate for the success of the Dec 05th event which is demanding reinstating of the bigger flights landing, and Hajj embarkation in Karipur airport etc. Also it will send its representatives to Delhi to participate in the same. Though this is the current priority, the MDF is interested in overall development of Malabar area with participation of all.
