IIK held Award Nite for Young Reporters; Malavika Krishna Best IIK Young Reporter 2016

IndiansinKuwait.com (IIK) in a gala Award Nite announced Best IIK Young Reporter for the Year 2016. The Award Nite was held on Thursday, 24th November 2016 from 6:00 PM onwards at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS).

New IIK Young Contributors for the year 2016 were felicitated with certificates from IIK and New IIK Young Reporters got their Badges.

Then came the awards for the Young Reporters and Contributors who contributed to the YR program by sending in quality articles out of which some of the articles were selected for their relevance to the student community, for their originality and quality of writing. The awards are sponsored by High Sierra.



Deepthi Joji received Most Thoughtful Article , Gayathri Satheeshkumar received Best Coverage Article, Shaina Evanka D’cunha received Most Noble Minded Article, Shubh Porwal received Best Article for Research, Natasha Fernandes received Most Informative Article , Parvathy S Nair received Most Humane Article , Vishali Srikanth received Most Thoughtful Article, Avanija Menon received Most Extraordinary Article and Malavika Krishna received The Most Matured Article.

The awards were sponsored by High Sierra and the award contained certificates and High Sierra bags.

Malavika Krishna was declared as Best IIK Young Reporter for the Year 2016. Earlier IIK had nominated 3 IIK Young Reporters and conducted a written test. Panel of Judges selected the winner based on Good linguistic skills, Report-writing style etc.

Vishali Srikanth , Avanija Menon and Malavika Krishna were the 3 Nominated IIK Young Reporters. They received medals during the award ceremony.

Malavika Krishna received a branded Watch sponsored by Tik Tok, Trophy and a Certificate from IndiansinKuwait.com.

Mr Rajshekar, Brand Manager of Tik Tok, Mr Surya S Prakash, Mentor of IIK Young Reporter Program and IIK Officials together presented the Awards.



IIK also announced Best School for their Contribution towards this program for the year 2016. Based on Highest number of Students who contributed for this program and highest number of awards won by the students, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan - IES was awarded Best School Contributor for the year 2016 with a trophy from IndiansinKuwait.com. Mr Suresh V Balakrishnan, Vice Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan received the Trophy during the Award nite.

Earlier that day, "Be A Leader" interactive session for Children by well known orator and Sr Vice Principal of IES (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan), Mr Suresh V Balakrishnan and Multiple Intelligence - "Discover your Child's Innate Potential" session by Mr Jeff Chacko was also held.

IIK Young Reporter program is to encourage the writing skills of the young students from the community.
