Kuwait fully prepared for the rainy season

Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) has boosted preparedness in accordance with emergency plan allotted for dealing with the rainy season and confronting expected floods in the country.

Acting Director General of KFSD Major General Khaled Al-Tarkit said in statement to KUNA that 124 pumps to drain water have been distributed to fire stations in all governorates along with portable boats to ensure speedy outreach to affected areas within a short time.

He indicated about the plan to coordinate with the Meteorology Department to know the round the-clock weather forecast which will be circulated in all fire stations. He also revealed about the prearranged coordination with several concerned public authorities with regards to the emergency plan.

He called on citizens and expatriates to follow the weather reports continuously and avoid panic and spreading of rumors.
