The Dancing Divas organises a unique Carnival

Chattering folks, excitement in children, creative stalls of games, science exhibitions, colourful counters of accessories, dress materials and aroma of delicious delicacies is what came to senses as one entered the carnival held by The Dancing Divas on Friday November 11, 2016 at Gokul, Abuhalifa. An unusual day designed for the Indian Community by the students of The Dancing Divas under the guidance of their beloved teacher Ms. Jyoti Patel the director of The Dancing Divas.

The day began with welcoming of guests, students, parents by the anchor Ms. Rachana Nilesh. The opening of the event was marked with welcoming of the Chief Guest Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Sarfaraz managing director Sahara Air Conditioning Co. and Mr. Natarajan Owner & Proprietor of Sarvana Bhavan restaurant. The traditional lighting of the lamp ushering in joy and light into our lives as per our Indian tradition was carried out by the Chief Guests which was followed by classical Bharathnatyam performance by Ms. Aarti as obeisance to the Almighty. The dignitaries in their speeches showered praises on Ms. Jyoti Patel for coming up with a very unique concept of bringing in joy, colourfulness and leadership qualities in the lives of the children and housewives alike. They also praised the children who exhibited various projects as these can make the children creative, inquisitive and future scientists.

Mr. Aizaz Sarfaraz and Mr. Natarajan took time out from their busy schedule and went to each and every project stall by children, later jointly announcing the winning exhibited stall for the best execution of the science project. There was noise and activity at every stall.

Various competitions were organized for the children of The Dancing Divas. Hindi Poetry recitation by the cute children was a “not-to-miss” event. The winners and all the participants were well appreciated by the judge Ms. Meena Mishra.

Promoting a healthy living is one of the major focus of The Dancing Divas. Healthy food is an integral part of it. A competition for healthy cooking without oil and fire is a true complement by the Zumba group. The Judge Ms. Nyla Alexis appreciated the true healthy taste of India.

The children in colorful dress, painted face and character clothing were enthralled the audience and the judges during the fancy-dress competition judged by Ms. Upasana Sinha and Ms. Vijaya Raghuvanshi.

The enthusiasm for participation and the engagement of the moms of the students was quite obvious during the Salad making competition. The judges Ms. Amita Desai and Ms. Sangita Desai had a tough time deciding the winners for the competition.

Time to time the ambience was made soothing by the singers, Mr. Kaiser Ali Khan, Mr. Brijlal and TDD family singers Master Rudransh, Mr. Dhaval Thakkar, Mr. Iqbal Qazi etc.

Surprise of the day was the flash mob by the students of The Dancing Divas including Zumba ladies who performed on foot tapping numbers mesmerizing the visitors with their energy, zeal and enthusiasm.

Ms. Rachana Nilesh the anchor, with warm and friendly tone mixed with lively chit chat teased the folks while she moved in the crowd which kept audience in a trance.

The day ended with announcing the best performed stall. Ms. Jyoti Patel the brain behind the planning and execution of the carnival rewarded the winners and the judges with prizes and mementos.

The day was a grand success and left everyone entertained and asking for more.

"It's good to have a big dream. Even if your dream is shattered... the shattered pieces are still big."
