ICSK Amman Celebrates World Teachers’ Day

The student senate of ICSK Amman organized a grand programme on 19th October 2016, to commemorate the World Teachers' Day. The purpose of the programme was to emphasize on the role played by the Teachers in guiding and inspiring the students.

The programme commenced with the School Senate President taking the responsibility of the Principal and the Vice Presidents taking charge as Vice Principal for the day
The House Prefects from classes VI to IX ushered in the teachers for the programme, accompanied by a beautiful welcome song. The Senate President Ms. Tania T Cherian cordially welcomed all their dear teachers.Thank you cards, badges and flowers were presented to all the teachers as a token of their love and affection.

To mark this occasion, an array of scintillating performances were presented by the students for their teachers. Primary students presented a melodious song followed by a dance dedicated to all their dear teachers.
The four houses Shanti, Seva, Sahyog and Santosh presented variety of programmes like quiz,skit, mime etc. The students of class IX and X felt proud to be the student teachers and realized the importance of teachers in their lives.
To conclude, one staff member of the day was chosen through a lucky draw, by the Senate President. Various games were also organized for teachers and the winners were awarded.
Teachers expressed their happiness at being honoured by students and thanked them for the beautiful programme organized for them.

The Senate Vice President Tobias J. Saju proposed the vote of thanks. The School Senate along with Senate Advisor, Mrs. Aleyamma Satheesh did a commendable job in executing a well-planned and systematically organized programme. The senate made it an enjoyable and memorable day for the entire teaching staff of ICSK Amman.
